MANISTEE — The Manistee Saints swept a Saturday Great Lakes summer baseball doubleheader with the Jet Box, highlighted by a walk-off win in the night cap.

Luke Richardson picked up the game-winning RBI, capping a three-run seventh inning that began with the Saints trailing 4-2.

Trenton Smiley and Traverse City West alum Alex Strickland each had RBI singles to fuel the rally.

Lucas Weinert was 2 for 4 with two runs scored for the Saints.

Central's Fewless to pitch at Lansing CC


TC Central graduate Cam Fewless earned the win despite only collecting a single out in the ball game. Levi Irish started the game and allowed four runs on four hits in six and two-thirds innings.

Frankfort graduate made the start in an opening game 6-3 victory, but took a no decision.

Zach Platt earned the win with two scoreless innings, and Fewless pitched the seventh inning and secured the save.

Another former TC Central Trojan, Logan Briggs, went 2 for 4 with two RBI.

Former TC West standout Nick Brzezinski was 2 for 4 with one RBI.

Roddy MacNeil drove in a run on two hits, and Travis McCormick was 1 for 3 with a RBI.
