Players of the Year: Mari Mast, Sr./Regan O’Connor, So., TC Central — The No. 1 doubles tandem rode a 27-10 record to a No. 5 seed in the Division 2 state finals where they reached the quarterfinals. Placed second at Big North Conference championship and won a regional championships. O’Connor helped Mast reach 117 wins for her four year varsity career that included three conference championships, three regional championships and three state quarterfinal runs. Mast has made the Dream Team each of the last four seasons.

SINGLES

Emily Kluzak, So., TC Central — The sophomore standout posted a 22-15 overall record at No. 3 singles. Kluzak also took home a regional championship.

Alexi Lewis, So., TC St. Francis — The Gladiators’ No. 2 singles player rung up an impressive 22-3 record, not losing a game on the way to a regional title. Lake Michigan Conference champion earned honorable mention all-state after a tremendous run to the Division 4 state semifinals.

Ava Reimers, Sr., TC Central — Reimers’ season went back and forth, posting a 18-14 record, but that didn’t stop her from capturing a regional title at No. 4 singles.

Chelsea Shampine, So., Petoskey — Ran away from the competition with a 25-8 overall record in the No. 4 singles slot. Although Shampine lost in the BNC and regional final matches, she won two matches at the D2 state finals, including beating the No. 3 seed.

Catherine Seger, Jr., Charlevoix — An honorable mention selection in 2018, Seger turned up the heat in her junior campaign and was the regional champion at No. 3 singles. Seger was the runner-up in the Lake Michigan Conference.

Bridget Harris, Sr., Petoskey — Senior won the Big North Conference and regional titles at No. 2 singles. Posted a 20-6 overall record and won a match at the state finals.

Alex Graham, Sr., Petoskey — The leading lady at No. 1 singles won a Big North Conference and regional title in her senior season. Graham also won a match at the D2 state finals.

Sophie Jackson, Jr., TC Central — The junior took the No. 1 singles spot and earned the No. 1 seed in the BNC and regional tournaments. Jackson went 18-16 on the season and finished as regional runner-up.

DOUBLES

Xia Huyck, Sr./Kyla Welch, So., TC Central — Big North Conference and regional champions at No. 2 doubles posted a 23-12 record in their first season as a duo.

Maddie Muzljakovich, Sr./Paige Davies, Jr., TC St. Francis — First-team all-state selections in Division 4, the Gladiator duo posted a 13-6 record at No. 1 doubles and advanced to the state semifinals. They also made it to the regional finals.

Mary Mawby, So./AJ Flannery, Sr., TC St. Francis — Didn’t lose a single game in either the Lake Michigan Conference tournament or regionals on the way to a 20-4 record for the season. They followed that up with the area’s longest state tournament run, advancing to the Division 4 No. 2 doubles state final and earning honorable mention all-state.

Macy Anderson, Jr./Hadley Hilner, Jr. , TC Central — The junior duo ran the No. 4 doubles flight in the Big North Conference on their way to a conference title. Rang up a 25-11 record on their way to a regional title.

Olivia Cerny, Sr./Libby Jewell, Sr., TC West — The pair of seniors started the season on a tear before the postseason was derailed by a foot injury to Jewell. Took second place in the Big North Conference at No. 2 doubles and won a regional game.

Mallory Kosch, Sr./Grace Lord, So., TC Central — Regional runners-up at No. 3 singles ripped off 22 victories on the season. Kosch and Lord won the Big North Conference championship at No. 3 singles.

Victoria Cameron, Sr./Emma Makela, Sr., Petoskey — Tallied a 24-7 record as a duo on their way to a D2 regional championship at No. 3 doubles. Was one of four Petoskey flights to win a match at the state finals.

Coach of the Year: Shane Dilloway, TC Central — Led the Trojans to another Big North Conference title while earning regional coach of the year from his peers. Dilloway had five flights win regional titles and had No. 1 doubles of Mari Mast and Regan O’Connor make the state quarterfinal.

Honorable Mention

Jillian Sodini, So., TC St. Francis; Ivy Walker, So., TC Central; Caitlin Siles, Fr., TC West; Leah Howse, Sr., TC West; Abby Paramo, Charlevoix.
