Emergency medicine specialist Dr. Jacob D. Ramseyer has joined Munson Medical Center. Ramseyer practices with Northwestern MI Emergency Physicians at 1105 Sixth St. A graduate of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, Ramseyer completed his residency at the University at Buffalo.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority Board named Kim Nowack as the new executive secretary. Nowack was the chief bridge engineer at the MBA since 2002 and was the interim executive secretary following the retirement of Bob Sweeney in May. Nowack is the first woman to be executive secretary and she was the first woman chief engineer. A 1985 graduate of Michigan Technological University, Nowack is a member of the International Cable Supported Bridge Operators Association. Prior to joining the MBA, Nowack held a variety of positions with the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Dr. John L. Coatney has joined Munson Medical Center as a specialist in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Coatney is one of 20 cardiologists at Traverse Heart & Vascular.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado, Coatney completed an internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Michigan.
