TRAVERSE CITY -- Potential voters must register by Monday if they want to participate in the August primary election that will decide many local races throughout northern Michigan.
In several races for sheriff, prosecutor, county commission and township offices, the Aug. 5 Republican primary winner won't have a challenger in the November general election.
To register, would-be voters must be 18 years old by Aug. 5, a U.S. Citizen and resident of Michigan.
Registration forms are available at your local city, township, or county offices and all secretary of state branch offices. Forms are also available online at www.Michigan.gov/sos.
