TRAVERSE CITY — Students from Traverse City Central High School as well as other area schools will hold a climate strike at 10 a.m. on March 15, at the Open Space before marching through downtown.

Central’s Students for Environment Activism Club is organizing the event that will conclude with speakers at the Bijou by the Bay Theater at 11 a.m. The march is meant to bring awareness to the issue of climate change.

Speakers will include SEA Club vice president and Central High School senior Katia Childs as well as Traverse City mayor Jim Carruthers.
