TRAVERSE CITY — A spree of early morning break-ins in Elmwood Township led to criminal charges for a Traverse City man.
Leelanau County sheriff's deputies early Tuesday followed a path of snowy footprints that led from vehicle break-ins and ended at the feet of Adam Michael Saigger, 28, who appeared for arraignment Friday in 86th District Court.
Saigger is accused of running from deputies when they spotted him near Center Highway. Deputies arrested Saigger after he tripped in the snow.
Prosecutors authorized charges against Saigger of breaking and entering a vehicle with damage, breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property and resisting arrest. His bond is set at $25,000.
