GAYLORD -- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold a local workshop about how to apply for state grants.
The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund provides funding for state and local projects, including land acquisition and development of outdoor recreational facilities. The fund is supported by revenue from the development of state-owned mineral resources, specifically oil and gas. The coming grant application deadline is April 1 and application materials will be available starting Feb. 13 on the DNR Web site, at www.michigan.gov/dnr-grants.
A workshop about trust fund grants will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 23 at the Marsh Ridge Resort, 4815 Old U.S. Highway 27 South in Gaylord. Call (517) 373-9125 for more information.
