TRAVERSE CITY — Winter will make an appearance for first commutes of the week, but it won't stick around.
Showers are expected to drop up to 2 inches of snow on the Grand Traverse region today, starting at about 10 a.m., said Scott Rozanski, meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
The snowfall will be persistent but not too heavy, he said. Snow or a rain-snow mix could last through Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will reach a high near 30 degrees during the day. But forecasters predict temperatures will steadily climb throughout the end of the week, reaching the mid-40s by Saturday.
