TRAVERSE CITY — Police let a man board his Cherry Capital Airport flight Monday after security officers found a handgun in his carry-on bag.
Security stopped the 58-year-old Harbor Springs man before he could board his flight at about 10:36 a.m. after they found the handgun that the man said he forgot about. Traverse City police Capt. Jim Bussell said the gun was loaded with four rounds in the magazine.
Police officers seized the gun and let the man continue to his flight. They will send a report to prosecutors for review of potential charges.
