The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Munson Medical Center received more than $60,000 from the hospital's foundation to purchase 20 programmable medication pumps.
The funds were raised by Munson employees and community members through the foundation's year-end appeal for donations. Money from the inaugural "Running for Babies" community event also contributed to the donations.
The money will go toward 20 Alaris Smart Pumps in the NICU. The pumps are used to administer medications, and hospital officials said they enhance patient safety.
