This week's recipe comes from Mary Jo Hamlin of the Frankfort United Methodist Women, who will be hosting the 4th annual Very Cherry Smorgasbord Thursday at the church, 537 Crystal Ave. The event begins at 5 p.m.; admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 and under. Cherry Chicken Casserole

21/2 to 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 slices Swiss cheese, cut 4x4 inches

1 can cream of chicken soup

1/2 c. milk

1 c. dried cherries

1 (6-oz.) stovetop dressing

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut chicken breasts into bite-size pieces and place in bottom of 9x13-inch pan. Cover with Swiss cheese slices. Dilute soup with milk and stir in cherries. Pour soup mixture over chicken and cheese. Prepare stuffing according to directions on box and spread on top.

Bake for about an hour, maybe less. You may cover with foil part of the time, but remove the foil at the end to crisp up the top.
