TRAVERSE CITY -- The Master Gardener Association of Northwest Michigan will host a lecture by Felder Rushing, host of the public radio call-in garden program "The Gestalt Gardener."

A popular radio and television host, Rushing is the author of many gardening books and numerous gardening columns in newspapers. He has served as a board member of the American Horticulture Society, national director of the Garden Writers Association and as a member of the National Youth Gardening Committee.

Rushing will discuss a variety of methods and techniques for gardening with weather-hardy plants from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the CenterPointe Building, the former Harleysville Lake States building, 12935 S. West Bay Shore Drive Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The lecture includes a continental breakfast. Admission is $40 per person or $75 for two people registering together.
