The International Foundation for Nutrition and Health has announced that Drs. Julie Brons and Lea Piche of Traverse City have become certified in whole food nutrition by completing a 100-hour certification program.
The certification demonstrates proficiency in dealing with a wide spectrum of health conditions with whole food nutrition.
Dr. Brons practices with her husband, Dr. Don Piche, at Performance Chiropractic. Dr. Piche and her husband, Dr. Joe Piche, operate Piche Family Chiropractic.
The Associate Degree in Nursing and the Practical Nursing programs at Northwestern Michigan College are now nationally accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
The voluntary accreditation is conducted by peer reviewers and the programs were required to demonstrate competence in three levels of review. These included a site visit with four peer visitors in the fall of 2013, an evaluation review panel in January and a Board of Commission review in March.

Thomas R. Harding, MD, has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a board-certified specialist in psychiatry. He practices at Munson Medical Center, 1105 Sixth St.
Dr. Harding graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wis. Prior to joining Munson Medical Center, Dr. Harding was the medical director at Milwaukee County-Behavioral Health Division.
