GRAWN — More than 1,000 pieces of equipment from Cherry Growers, Inc. will hit the auction block in an online sale later this month.

Launched in 1939, Cherry Growers, Inc. announced it would liquidate all its assets in late January. The 300,000 square foot fruit processing plant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August 2017.

The auction for equipment used for fruit processing, receiving and packaging will open on Thursday, April 12. New Mill Capital is handling the auction and sale.

According to a release, some of the items in the auction include "complete juice production and packaging lines, raw fruit receiving, grading and washing, IQF, extraction, juice presses, a 3-effect evaporator, de-stemmers, pitters, stainless processing and storage, canning, liquid filling lines and all plant support." The online auction will close on Wednesday, April 25, for all processing, packaging and refrigeration equipment. The auction for plant support and lab equipment, forklifts and vehicles will close on Thursday, April 26.

Interested buyers can attend open equipment inspections on April 20, 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by scheduling an appointment. Cherry Growers, Inc. is located at 6331 U.S. Highway 31 in Grawn.
