FIFE LAKE — A Community Fundraiser goes from noon to 6 p.m. June 29 at Springfield Park and Recreation Area. The free event features live music and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees should bring chairs. Donations are encouraged. Communities in Schools of Northwest Michigan receives 50 percent of funds collected.

Bayou in the Barn fundraiser
BEULAH — Grow Benzie hosts the Bayou in the Barn from 5-11:30 p.m. July 5 at St. Ambrose Cellars. The evening includes southern food, yard games and auctions. DNR recognizes trail
BELLAIRE — Michigan Department of Natural Resources recently recognized the Chain of Lakes Water Trail as one of eight state-designated water trails. The Paddle Antrim trail features more than 80 miles of routes through 14 lakes and rivers and nearby communities like Ellsworth, Alden and Central Lake.
