Wolves down Indiana Mustangs

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The Traverse City Wolves clinched a playoff spot Saturday with a 47-35 road win over the Indiana Mustangs.

Quarterback Aaron James — who left the game in the third quarter with an injury — was 14 of 22 for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

Receiver Josh Tomaszewski had a career day with eight catches for 151 yards and a trio of touchdowns.

New receiver Brent Brooks hauled in three catches for 59 yards and running back B.J. Chandler led the way on the ground with 53 yards on 12 carries also caught two passes for 35 yards.

Defensively, defensive end Darnell Wilson led the way with two sacks and six tackles. Linebackers Tyler Alpers and Ryan Brown had six tackles each, and safety Evest Briggs chipped in with six tackles and an interception.

The Wolves (5-1) host the Michigan Gators on Sept. 11.
