Wolves stumble on road in Ontario

London hands Traverse City second loss

LONDON, Ont. -- The Traverse City Wolves suffered their second straight road loss Saturday as host London earned a 13-6 NAFL win.

The Wolves (5-2) had two field goals from Pablo Bocardo Jr., including one from 45 yards.

D.J. Szymoniak paced the Traverse City offense with 19 carries for 71 yards. Anthony Stewart also ran seven times for 40 yards.

Will Moran was 3-for-18 passing for 37 yards with two interceptions.

Defensively, Ryan Brown had 11 tackles, Tyler Alpers added 10 and Darnel Wilson had seven -- including a sack.

Casey Conklin had an interception for the Wolves.

Traverse City will look to bounce back -- and get some revenge against the Silverbacks -- when London (5-3) visits northern Michigan on Saturday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Traverse City Central High School.

The game will be Military Night at Traverse City, with $6 tickets for those with a military ID.

Traverse City is 3-0 at home, but on a two-game losing streak. Racine beat the Wolves 43-6 on Aug. 29

The Silverbacks are on a three-game winning streak.
