TC Wolves bring on pair for secondary

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Wolves added to their secondary with the additions of safety Derrick Phillips (5'10, 215) and cornerback Corey Edwards (6'0, 183).

Both players come to the Wolves from Grand Valley State University. Edwards will play opposite cornerback of 2009 All-Star Tim Ohlert. Phillips looks to secure the safety position playing aside Brian Maurer, Zack Beeler or new addition Shane Pennington.

The TC Wolves will play their first ever preseason game June 26 against the Detroit Seminoles at 7 p.m. The game will be played in Elk Rapids during construction at Thirlby Field.
