LONDON, Ontario — The Traverse City Wolves picked up a pair of wins Saturday.
The Wolves traveled to London and earned a 2-0 forfeit win over the Silverbacks.
It was the third win this season over the Silverbacks. The first was a forfeit, the second was a 78-13 victory in the Wolves opener at Thirlby Field.
Then in the night game, TC beat host Tri-City 68-28.
Wolves quarterback Aaron James was 18-for-24 passing for 328 yards and four touchdowns.
On the ground, B.J. Chandler ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns while Justin Gordon crossed the 100-yard mark and also had a score.
The Wolves defense was led by Darnell Wilson, Tyler Alpers and Karey Morrow, all with seven tackles. Wilson also had 2.5 sacks.
Traverse City matched its win total of 2009 when it went 8-4.
Traverse City returns home to host the Capital City Stealth at Thirlby Field next Saturday in the regular season finale. Should the Wolves win, they would lock up the No. 2 seed heading into the playoffs.
The Wolves opened the season at Capital City with a 40-17 win.
In its second season, Traverse City has already locked up a berth in the NAFL playoffs.
