Wolves earn spot in playoffs

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City Wolves avenged a loss to London just a week ago with a 14-0 win over the Silverbacks on Saturday night.

The win clinched a playoff spot for the first-year franchise.

The Wolves outgained London 162 yards to 90, as the defense was led by Ryan Brown (eight tackles) and Tyler Alpers (eight tackles, blocked punt).

Kyle Verschuren and Will Conklin scored touchdowns and Anthony Stewart ran for 52 yards.

If the Wolves beat Ypsilanti next Saturday at home, they will win the Division and guarantee a home playoff game.
