Otsego Memorial Hospital of Gaylord has been identified as a best practice organization according to Professional Research Consultants, 2010 National Patient Benchmarking Database for Patient Satisfaction.

OHM was recognized in the following areas: Inpatient-Overall Quality of Doctor's Care, Outpatient Surgery-Cleanliness of Hospital, and Outpatient Surgery-Staff Explaining How Patient Would Feel After Surgery/Procedure. To qualify as best practice, OMH had to achieve a consistent patient rating of "Excellent" to a standardized set of patient satisfaction questions to reach the 90th percentile as compaired to other healthcare organizations across the nation.

Traverse City Comfort Keepers co-owner Russ Knopp has been recognized for his dedication to the private duty senior care industry.

After previously serving as legislative director, Knopp was elected as president of the Michigan chapter of the National Private Duty Association (NPDA), the nation's first association for providers of private duty home care

Pediatrician Dr. Kristie Koehler has joined the Mercy Community Health Center in Grayling as part of an on-going initiative to expand services throughout the Merch Hospital Grayling healthcare system.

Koehler is a board-certified pediatrician who recently completed a residency through the University of Arizona.
