Eric McLearon, MD, has joined the staff of West Shore Medical Center as a specialist in emergency medicine.
Dr. McLearon graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He also completed a residency at Michigan State University's Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.
Prior to joining West Shore's Emergency Department, McLearon managed patient care at two level-one trauma centers and served as a flight physician for West Michigan Aircare. He also served as a clinical faculty instructor responsible for the education of medical students and interns during their emergency medicine rotation.
Otsego Memorial Hospital, Gaylord, has been recognized as one of the nation's "Most Wired" hospitals, according to the results of the 2010 Most Wired Survey released in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine.
In 2008 and 2009, OMH was listed on the Most Wired-Small & Rural Hospitals. However for 2010, OMH has been ranked among the Most Wired, which includes hospitals of all sizes that have made great strides in improving and enhancing health care information technology to better serve patients. OMH is one of four hospitals in Michigan to be named to the Most Wired list and the only hospital in northern Michigan to receive the honor.
