Clearing the Record: 11/06/2013

A Sunday Northern People story about a local couple’s Random Acts of Kindness Road Trip gave the wrong spelling for Allen-Kent Photography.


Because of an editor’s error, a Nov. 4 letter from Ann M. Kirtley of Kalkaska contained an error; it should have said syndicated columnist Doug Patton called President Obama a “Chicago thug.”


Because of a reporter’s error Tuesday’s story about Traverse City commissioners’ concerns about moving forward with their bayfront plans wrongly stated which city-owned property was involved. The commission won’t go forward with its projects for property on West Grand Traverse Bay until problems with the splash pad are solved.


An Oct. 30 story about a farmer residency program contained errors. Michelle Ferrarese is the head of the ISLAND board of directors and runs Birch Point Farm. Jess Piskor is the co-owner of Bare Knuckle Farm.
