Traverse City West sweeps Cadillac: 4-0, 16-4

TRAVERSE CITY — Walt Borkovich struck out 15 and threw a no-hitter as TC West beat Cadillac 4-0 in the first game of a baseball doubleheader on Tuesday. The Titans completed the sweep with a 16-4 win in the nightcap.

Borkovich improved to 3-0 with the victory. Collin Bush had three hits and Keegan Kenny had two hits and an RBI. In the second game Bush had three hits and an RBI, Will Reed homered, doubled and drove in six RBIs, Max Ludka and Trent MacDougall had two hits each and Kenny drove in four runs.

MacDougall struck out four in four innings. Ludka worked the final two innings and struck out three for the Titans (8-2).

TC West 2 6

Cadillac swept Traverse City West 12-2 and 13-6 in the Titans’ first Big North Conference action.

Angelika Diehl had two hits — including a double — and two RBIs in the opener.

Carley Drzewiecki had two hits in the nightcap, blasting a solo home run.

Diehl added two more hits and two RBIs, and Kelly O’Hara drove in a run with a double.

The Titans host Ogemaw Heights on Friday.
