n Tim Hiller has been hired as an outside sales representative in Traverse City for building materials distributor Amerhart, based in Green Bay, Wis.

n Floor Covering Brokers welcomes Deb Sizeland to their sales team. She is available at the Traverse City store for design and consultation on all types of flooring and window treatments.

n Amanda McLaren of Beulah has been appointed library director of the Benzonia Public Library. She worked for eight years as a librarian at the Interlochen Library, and for the last year and a half has been the Benzie Central Middle School librarian.

n David Layman is joining the Traverse City Golf Center as director of instruction and golf shop manager, adding 15 years of experience to the golf center staff. The golf center also added ES14 Launch Monitors to help fit golfers to equipment and scheduled the next round of instruction program events. n Hospitalists of Northern Michigan has been recognized as one of the 2014 “Michigan 50 Companies to Watch,” an awards program presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business. Hospitalists of Northern Michigan is one of the largest private hospitalist groups in the country, with programs at Alpena Regional Medical Center, Dickinson County Healthcare System, McLaren Northern Michigan, Mercy Hospital Cadillac, Spectrum Health, Ludington Hospital and Munson Medical Center.


n The Traverse City office of Morgan Stanley announced the formation of The Peninsula Group at Morgan Stanley, a process-driven Investment Management Group consisting of financial advisers and partners Craig Rosenberg, Thomas Haase and Kevin Beaudoin; portfolio management associate Christopher Radu; and client service associates Jennifer Galla and Becky Leslie.
