BUCKLEY — Amanda Youker pitched her second no-hitter of the season as Kingsley whitewashed Buckley 11-0 in the opener of a Northwest Conference softball doubleheader Tuesday.
Youker struck out 10. Destiny Scott and Ember Lhamon had two hits apiece for Kingsley (14-5, 10-0).
Kingsley won the nightcap 15-6. Youker worked the first five innings, striking out 10, to pick up the win. Kaitlyn Totten finished with two hits, including a home run. Youker also had two hits.
Kingsley travels to Kalkaska on Thursday.
Petoskey 2 2
TC West 1 1
A single to right field brought home the deciding run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Petoskey slipped past TC West 2-1 in the second game of a softball doubleheader. The Northmen also won the opener, 2-1.
Angelika Diehl had two hits in game one and doubled in the second game for the Titans (7-13, 5-5 Big North). Carley Drezwiecki also doubled in the second game and struck out seven.
The Titans host their own tournament on Saturday.
Kalkaska 10 11
Elk Rapids 1 3
Kalkaska scored 21 runs in a softball doubleheader to sweep visiting Elk Rapids in convincing fashion, 10-1 and 11-3.
Taylor Birgy had two hits in each game and also added an RBI to lead the Blazers (9-6, 6-2 Lake Michigan Conference). Jessie Plude added three hits and an RBI. Megan Myas had two hits in the first game, while Paige Waterman, Olivia Kuhns and Amber Zimmerman each had RBI hits in the second game.
Ellie Barber allowed only two hits and struck out seven in game one. Myas allowed six hits and fanned two in the second game.
The Blazers host Kingsley on Thursday.
Benzie Central 9 2
Mesick 8 10
Blair Frederick scored the deciding run on a wild pitch in the seventh inning as Benzie Central topped Mesick 9-8 in the first game of a softball doubleheader. Mesick bounced back to earn the split with a 10-2 win.
Alicia Claus moved Frederick around to third on a bunt single and Frederick scored moments later for the win.
