Glads, Bellaire on MHSAA streams

TRAVERSE CITY — Thursday's St. Francis-Unionville-Sebewaing Class C volleyball semifinal match at Battle Creek's Kellogg Arena will be streamed by the MHSAA.

In fact, live video of all semifinal and final games will be available on the website with audio streams on They can be accessed on home and handheld devices.

Game time is 3:45 p.m.

If St. Francis wins Thursday, the Gladiators would play for a state title at noon Saturday.

Meanwhile, the championship game of the 8-player football playoffs between Bellaire and Deckerville at Legacy Field in Greenville will take place at 7 p.m., with live television coverage on FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS, and live audio streaming on When FOX Sports Detroit televises a game live on it cable channels, the video is not available until after the game is over. Free ski day supports Father Fred Foundation

BELLAIRE — Shanty Creek Resorts will again offer its "Ski Free With Santa" Christmas Day.

The resort is encouraging skiers to bring along non-perishable food items for The Father Fred Foundation as they ski for free that day. The food items can be dropped off at the ticket window. The Father Fred Foundation will distribute the food to area families in need. The Foundation has experienced a double-digit increase in the number of visits to its pantry this year.

Table Tennis Club offers open play

TRAVERSE CITY — The Northern Michigan Table Tennis Club is offering open play for all ages and skill levels from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The cost is $5. The club is located on Cass St. Use the back door at the B Fitness Club.

Turkey Trot set for Thanksgiving Day

TRAVERSE CITY — The Turkey Trot 5K and 5-mile races will start at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving Day at Thirlby Field.

The courses will run through downtown Traverse City.

The adult (19 and older) cost is $35 for the 5-mile, $32 for the 5K. The cost for those 18 and under is $15. Those prices are good through next Tuesday. Proceeds will go to local non-profit charities.

SF's Schaub off to 2-3 start

GALESBURG, Ill. — Augustana College freshman Isaiah Schaub (St. Francis) finished sixth at 141 pounds in the Knox Wrestling Invitational.

Schaub sports a 2-3 record.
