---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Downtown Traverse City traffic slowed to a standstill after a two-vehicle accident closed one lane of Division Street.

Traverse City Fire Department Chief Jim Tuller said fire and police crews were dispatched to the intersection of Eighth and Division streets on Wednesday afternoon because the driver of a Honda Civic collided with the driver of a Jeep Wrangler.

"The Jeep Wrangler then rolled over up against a power pole," he said.

North traffic on Division Street was diverted onto Ninth Street as a wrecker cleared the vehicles out of the road. Normal traffic resumed after 3 p.m.

Tuller said the Honda's driver was transported to Munson Medical Center by North Flight EMS. He said the Jeep's driver reported no injuries.

"Thankfully it wasn't more severe," he said. "There's been some bad accidents on Division Street."
