BENZONIA — A four-person golf scramble to support Benzie Central football programs will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at Crystal Lake Golf Club.
The cost is $45 per person and includes lunch. There will be raffle items and special prize items for longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt.

Two free golf clinics offered
TRAVERSE CITY — The First Tee of Northern Michigan will be hosting two golf clinics in Traverse City.
The free clinics will be available to those 7 and older and will focus on all aspects of the game as well as introduce participants to The First Tee experience.
The clinics will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. at Bay Meadows Golf Club on Tuesday Aug. 13 and from 5:30-7 p.m. at Grand Traverse Resort Golf Academy on Wednesday, Aug. 14. First Tee trained coaches, including PGA professional John Myers, will lead the clinics. Traverse City Junior Golf Association is partnering with The First Tee with the clinics.

All golfing abilities are invited as well as those wanting to learn the sport. First Tee will have some golf equipment available at each clinic for those that may not have clubs.
First Tee is a youth development organization whose mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Kingsley Club holds fundraiser
KINGSLEY — The Kingsley Club will be hosting a fundraising event Sept. 20 to benefit The First Tee youth development organization.

Pro wrestling in Mancelona
MANCELONA — Mister Chainsaw Pro Wrestling (MCPW) makes its debut in Mancelona on Saturday with an outdoor show at The Roadhouse Saloon on US 131.
There will be two main events. The first will feature Rhino, who will challenge Russ Jones for the MCPW championship. This is a rematch a year in the making, as Jones defeated Rhino in 2012. The second will pit Mikey Zeroe against Wes McFadden.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with bell time at 5:30 p.m. Advance general admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at The Roadhouse Saloon, J&M’s Country Corners in Mancelona, or at www.MCPWOnline.com. Tickets will also be available at the door for $15.
