---- — CAPTIVA ISLAND, Fla. — Holly Nicole Orban and Jacob Darwin Adams wrote their own wedding vows and exchanged them on April 19, 2013, at Captiva Island’s Chapel-By-The-Sea. The Rev. Tom Nyman officiated at the 4 p.m. nuptials.
Laura Patmore of Grand Rapids attended her friend as maid of honor. Holly chose Kahlin Kelly of Suttons Bay and Sara Hess of Jackson, Mich., as her bridesmaids.
Joshua Adams of Columbus, Ohio, and Jared Adams of Los Angeles served as their brother’s best men. Groomsmen were Karl Paul of Flushing, Mich., and Travis Highly and Wayne Waddell, both of Columbus, Ohio. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Jared Orban of Grand Rapids and Aaron Orban of Suttons Bay. Ring bearers were cousins Max and Morgan Adams, both of Los Angeles.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a 30-minute ferry trip to an evening reception of dinner and dancing at the Island Club on North Captiva Island.
The newlyweds are living in Avon Lake, Ohio. They are planning a honeymoon to Hawaii in October.
Holly is the daughter of Jim and Terri Orban of Suttons Bay. She graduated from Suttons Bay High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Lake Superior State University, with a major in exercise science and a minor in health and nutrition.
Holly is employed as a wellness advocate at Max Wellness in Avon Lake.
Jacob is the son of Kelly and Jill Adams of Columbus, Ohio.
He graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. Jacob is employed at St. Johns Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio, as a director of materials management.
