TRAVERSE CITY — Wortman-Moore
Julie Lynn Wortman and Scott Lee Moore, both of Traverse City, were married on Sept. 22, 2012, at Visions at Centerpointe. Linda Bridson of Fife Lake performed the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
Julie chose her sister, Lisa Wortman of Jackson, Mich., as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cammie Myers of Horton, Mich., and Stacia Whelan of Tipton, Mich.
Scott chose his friend, Stephen Oklat of Traverse City, to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Mike Haight of Tampa, Fla., and Chris Moore of San Diego, Calif. Ushers were Corey Wortman and Will Kennedy, both of Horton.
Following a reception at the wedding site, the newlyweds honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Julie and Scott are living in Traverse City.
Julie's mother is Connie Wortman of Horton. Her father and stepmother are James and Holly Wortman of Horton. She graduated from Hanover-Horton High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Central Michigan University, where she also received a master's degree in physician assistant studies. Julie is employed at Munson Medical Center.
Scott is the son of Edwin and Linda Moore of Indian River. He graduated from Inland Lakes High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration and an associate degree in personal computers, both from Lake Superior State University. Scott currently is employed as Walgreen's store manager in Traverse City.
