TRAVERSE CITY — Callista Gloss of Traverse City and Andrew VanRyn of Comstock Park exchanged marriage vows on Sept. 7, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The Rev. Kenneth Stachnik performed the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
Callista chose her sister, Janelle Routhier of Traverse City, as her matron of honor, and high school classmate Ann Marie Niemi of Traverse City as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Debra Kurtz of Lowell, Mich., and Stephanie Newton of Muskegon.
Nathaniel VanRyn of Comstock Park served as his brother’s best man. Andrew chose as his groomsmen Casey Majestic of Rock, Mich., Franklin Routhier of Perry, Mich., and Erik Overlid of Minneapolis. Ushers were Micah Zakarzecki of Comstock Park and Edward Oedzes of Chicago.
An evening reception was hosted at Visions at CenterPointe in Traverse City. The couple honeymooned on Isla Mujeres in the Caribbean and currently live in Grand Rapids.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Carolyn (Plamondon) Gloss of Traverse City.
Callista graduated from Traverse City St. Francis High School, received an associate of applied science degree in legal studies and a bachelor of science degree in business administration, both from Ferris State University, Big Rapids.
She also received a juris doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids. Callista owns her own law firm in Grand Rapids.
The groom is the son of James and Judith VanRyn of Comstock Park. Andrew graduated from Comstock Park High School and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University in Allendale.
He received a juris doctor and a master of laws degree in taxation from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids. Andrew also works as an attorney in Grand Rapids.
