PRAGUE, Czech Republic — Sara Charlotte Bjork of Vansboro, Sweden, and Christopher Scott Watson of Traverse City were united in marriage on July 20, 2013, at the Charles Bridge in Prague. Sara’s brother, Lieutenant Daniel Wiklund of The Salvation Army-Finnspong and Vasteros Outposts, performed the 4 p.m. ceremony.
In the true international spirit of Chris and Sara’s lives, they were surrounded by family and friends from more than 10 countries. Chris’ brother, Mark Watson, and Sara’s daughter, Hilma Bjork, carried the couples’ rings.
A reception was hosted at 5 p.m. at the Hotel Leonardo in Prague’s Old Town on the Vltava River. Chris and Sara are vacationing in Skamhed, Sweden, as they prepare for a move from Tianjin, China, to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Sara is the daughter of Cajsa Bjork-Wiklund and Hans-Erik Wiklund of Vansboro, Sweden. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Lararhogskolan in Stockholm, Sweden, and a master of arts degree in international education with English as a special language specialization from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts-Prague Campus. Sara works as a middle school teacher and teaches English as a second language for the American International School of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Chris is the son of Patricia and Richard Watson of Traverse City. He received a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, and a master of arts degree in curriculum and teaching from Michigan State University’s campus in Valbonne, France. Chris works as a DP Chemistry and Integrated Science high school teacher for the American International School of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
