SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Katherine Nicole Harris of Lompoc, Calif., and Anthony Joseph Mocny of Santa Barbara were united in marriage on Jan. 4, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Santa Barbara. Associate Pastor, the Rev. Andrew B. Garcia, S.J., officiated at the marriage ceremony, which was followed by a Tridentine Nuptial Mass celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Illo, chaplain of Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, Calif.
Samantha Harris of Sandy, Utah, attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Peri Mocny of Santa Barbara, Alexandra Allen of St. Clair Shores, Mich., and Zoe Biller of Parma, Ohio.
Patrick Biller, a friend of the bride and groom from Parma, Ohio, served as Anthony’s best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Harris of Traverse City, Evan Williams of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Stohn Nishino of Edmonds, Wash.
Following the ceremony, an afternoon reception was hosted at the El Paseo Restaurant in Santa Barbara. The newlyweds honeymooned in Sedona, Ariz., and will live in Mukilteo, Wash.
Katherine is the daughter of Dr. Michael and Joan Harris of Traverse City. She graduated from Traverse City West Senior High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Hillsdale, College. Katherine is employed as a systems engineer by Boeing Aircraft Manufacturing Company.
Anthony is the son of Michael and Monica Mocny of Santa Barbara. He graduated form Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara and received a bachelor of arts degree from Hillsdale College. Anthony is employed as a product marketing coordinator by ABC-CLIO in Santa Barbara.
