TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Open Space was the setting for the May 10, 2014, wedding of Stephanie N. Murray and Dr. Phillip J. Ajlouny, DO. The Rev. Kent Lee of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay officiated at the 2 p.m. nuptials.
Stephanie chose her college roommate, Tamara Steinman, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Charlene Kolodziej, Jamie Wittenburg, Emily Pfefferkorn-Orban, Julie Hubbard, Jennifer Washburn, Jennifer Ajlouny, and Caressa Buchanan.
Jimmy Ajlouny served as his brother’s best man. Phillip chose as his groomsmen, Michael Shapiro, Jon Szilvagyi, Denny Bojrab, Dan Wiener, James Jonna, Steven Jonna and Jordan Anderson. Ushers were Brandon Dornbusch, Eric Zoll, Nick Dorman, Brent Ancona and Adam Colten. Asher Pfefferkorn-Orban and Isaac Jonna were the ring bearers.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception hosted at the Park Place Hotel Dome.
Stephanie is the daughter of Michael and Christine Murray of Traverse City. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University.
Phillip is the son of James and Laurie Ajlouny of Orchard Lake. He received a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University and a DO from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University.
The couple will live in Cleveland, where Phillip will be entering his second year of residency. Stephanie will compete in the Mongol Derby in rural Mongolia in August and Phil will meet her at the finish line for a delayed honeymoon.
