MOUNT PLEASANT — St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the setting for the June 8, 2013, marriage of Genevieve Pudewa of Locust Grove, Okla., and Jeremy Priest of Traverse City. The Rev. William Prospero, SJ, officiated at the 1 p.m. nuptials.
Sarah Wingerter of Tacoma, Wash., attended her friend as matron of honor. Sarah chose as her bridesmaids Julia Lawless, Fiona Pudewa, Elisabeth Pudewa, Chelsea Allen, Jennessa Terraccino and Kristin Boutross. Hazel Hall and Seraphim Danevicius were flower girls.
Jason Jones of Maple City served as his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Casey Truelove, Sean Nolan, Michael Repovs, Michael Monahan, Phil Lawson, Christopher Pudewa and Andrew Skuza. Solomon Danevicius was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception at the Pavilion at Blanchard Millpond Park in Blanchard. They honeymooned in Ontario, Canada, and are living in Mount Pleasant.
Genevieve is the daughter of Andrew and Robin Pudewa of Locust Grove, Okla. She graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in theology. Genevieve is employed by the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
Jeremy is the son of Kenneth Priest of Leelanau County and Carolyn Priest of Traverse City. He graduated from Traverse City St. Francis High School and received a bachelor’s degree in theology from Marquette University. Jeremy is a pastoral associate at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant.
