---- — BROOKLYN, MICH. — Thomas F. Bohnett went to be with the Lord in the loving presence of his daughter, and her husband and children in their home on Oct, 12, 2012, after a long battle with Huntington's Disease. In an answer to prayer his dog, Bailey, with whom he also shared a birthday, left this world earlier that day to wait for him there.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Jennifer (Brent) Sturdevant of Brooklyn, Mich., and his grandchildren, Payton, Dustin, Thomas and Anna Belle; his sister, Renee (Scott) Snyder of Albuquerque, N.M.; his grandmother, Eunice Bayer of Jackson, Mich.; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins; and his former wife and friend, Stacey (Bohnett) Young of Traverse City. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Harold L. Bohnett and Waneta J. Bohnett; his brother, Harold A. Bohnett; and his sister, Gail C. Bohnett.
Tom was born March 30, 1961, and was a 1979 graduate of Hanover-Horton High School. He was an entrepreneur in the lawn care business, having had businesses in Jackson, Grand Rapids and Traverse City. He loved his family, including his many Dobermans over the years, and was very proud of his work. He was a faithful member of The Journey Wesleyan Church in Traverse City.
Memorial services will be held at Hanover Baptist Church in Hanover, at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16 and at The Journey Wesleyan Church in Traverse City at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
