FINAL: Beach Bums 10, Evansville 0

TRAVERSE CITY — The game didn't go the full nine innings, but the Traverse City Beach Bums still won their home opener 10-0 against the Evansville Otters Tuesday night.

The two teams had been playing in the rain for part of the evening, but officials called the game in the bottom of the eighth due to heavy fog.

Bums' starting pitcher Jake Sabol got the win, pitching seven innings of shutout baseball, including four strikeouts. Traverse City's Scott Woodward was hitting three for four before leaving in the sixth inning with an injury.
