MESICK — Margaret Asby Tubbs, 92, of Mesick, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at The Lakeview in Cadillac. She was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Henderson, Ky., the daughter of Will and Kitty (Nance) Asby.
Margaret worked as a school teacher at Mesick High School for 35 years, where she taught business and business machines. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Margaret was a talented seamstress, and she also loved to knit.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Kim (Sharyl) Tubbs of Mesick and Tom (Linda) Beia of McBain; 6 grandchildren, Theodore Tubbs, Maureen (Charles) Carithers, Tom Beia, Todd (Kristi) Beia, Christa Galerneau, and Alex Beia; 5 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Frances Snyder of Alma; and numerous cousins.
Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband, Frank Tubbs.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the Mesick United Methodist Church in Mesick, with Pastor Beverley Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
