A narrow mind
The Record-Eagle’s May 2 story “Second Leelanau Commissioner cites conspiracy theory” should be read by anyone who has forgotten how much damage can be done when fanaticism adheres to a narrow mind.
True customer service
Recently my son had a rough day. I’ll spare you the details, just know it wasn’t an easy day for him. After a trip to the doctor he let it be known that he hadn’t eaten anything all day, not at home in the morning or at school. So I swung through Wendy’s in Interlochen to get him something off the value menu as all I had was change. I ordered him a six-piece nugget, and the girl at the window kindly mentioned that for only 40 cents more I could get a 10-piece. I had to decline, stating I didn’t have the extra 40 cents. On the way home my son mentioned that they’d given him 10, not six, nuggets.
I want to thank Christine, or Christina, for her act of kindness. I know it was because of her that my son arrived home with a full belly. She showed the true meaning of customer service.
