Clouds, rain and low temps to remain through Wednesday

TRAVERSE CITY — Forecasters predict cool temperatures, clouds and showers will linger in the Grand Traverse area through Wednesday.

National Cherry Festival-goers should expect the weather to remain about like it is today before temperatures climb and the sun breaks through clouds Thursday.

Even then, thermometer readings will remain below average for this time of year. Meteorologists predict high temperatures on Thursday should reach the low-70s --10 degrees below average high temperatures. High temperatures on Friday should climb to the upper 70s.
