TCAPS millages appear doomed

TRAVERSE CITY — It appears to be a no-go again for Traverse City Area Public Schools' millage requests.

Early election results indicated voters rejected both a $35.2-million, .2-mill millage request to fund improvements across TCAPS facilities and a $13-million, .09-mill proposal to rebuild Central High School's outdated auditorium.

The first proposal appears to have lost by roughly 200 votes, and the auditorium proposal fell by nearly 2,800, according to unofficial results from the Grand Traverse County clerk.

See Wednesday's Record-Eagle for more details.
