Energy expert to discuss Proposal 3

TRAVERSE CITY — An energy expert who worked under former Gov. Jennifer Granholm will be in Traverse City Wednesday to talk about Proposal 3, which asks voters to amend Michigan's constitution to require that 25 percent of the state's energy comes from renewable sources.

Skip Pruss is the former director of the Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth. He will speak at the City Opera House at 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Michigan Land Use Institute, which supports the proposal.
