Panel to discuss Leelanau residents' concerns

---- — SUTTONS BAY — A panel discussion is set for April 17 at 7 p.m. to discuss problems that face some Leelanau County residents, including difficulties with issues that range from medical, employment, educational, family, legal, or other matters.

The panel is set to include Cathy Anthofer from the Women’s Resource Center; Kathy Bartell, of the Parenting Communities project; Jerry Shiffman and Jim Sills from the Empire Area Community Center Emergency Fund; Steve Wade from the United Way of Northwest Michigan; Jo Ellen Walker, representing Blessings and Backpacks; and Tyrus Wessell from the Leelanau County Coordinating Council.

This informational and nonpartisan forum is being sponsored by the Leelanau County Democratic Party and is open to the public; everyone is welcome. A collection of nonperishable food items will be donated to area food banks for those who choose to participate in this endeavor. For more information, please contact:
