Officials seek armed robbery suspects

MANCELONA — The Antrim County Sheriff’s Department seeks two suspects in an armed robbery at a Mancelona Township residence.

A cleaning person reported two men entered the Scholl Road residence during the late-afternoon hours Saturday, pointed a handgun and demanded to be shown where money was kept, authorities said. The cleaning person left the residence and called 911 while the suspects looked for money.

The two suspects are described as in their early 20s and 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. One suspect wore black jeans, a black t-shirt and black tennis shoes with red and white trim on the bottom. The second suspect wore red baseball shorts and possibly a dark blue shirt and black tennis shoes with red or white trim on the bottom.

Both suspects were last seen running east on Scholl Road toward M-66. Authorities said the suspects may have used a brown or dark tan Oldsmobile or Chrysler Sebring.

Members of the public with information on the suspects can call the Antrim County Sheriff’s Department at 231-533-8627 ext. 0.
