Teens accused in string of burglaries

BENZIE -- Sheriff's deputies arrested three minors for their alleged role in a string of local burglaries.

Shawn Allen Schultz, 17, of Homestead Township, was arrested Monday on one count of illegal entry of a pole building.

Kyle Michael Barringer, 17, of Homestead Township, was arrested Monday on three counts of second-degree home invasion, malicious destruction of property and breaking and entering of a building with intent to commit larceny.

The third suspect, 16, was charged and referred Monday to juvenile court.

The burglaries occurred on Valley, Oakley and Hooker roads in Benzie County, deputies said.
