Small plane crashes, pilot lives

COLDWATER, Mich. (AP) -- A pilot has escaped injury after his small plane lost power and crashed in south-central Michigan.

The Piper Cherokee 180 lost power and crashed Monday afternoon in Coldwater. The pilot, who was not identified, was unhurt.

The Daily Reporter reports the four-seat plane took out power and cable lines as it went down. The pilot had emerged from the plane by the time emergency crews responded.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
