Boys’ book club
TRAVERSE CITY — The Novel Knights book group, formerly Guys Read Too, will meet on Monday, Nov. 11, at the Peninsula Community Library, 2699 Island View Road.

Alden book club
ALDEN — The Books and Brie Book Club will watch the movie “Man on a Wire” at its 3:30 p.m. meeting on Thursday, Nov. 14.
The film follows Frenchman Philippe Petit who attempted to walk on a wire illegally rigged between the World Trade Center’s Twin Tower in 1974. TRAVERSE CITY — The community is invited to tour Northwestern Michigan College facilities at its three campuses and talk with people in charge of NMC’s most innovative programs.
The behind-the-scenes look at NMC will be offered from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. The motor coach tour starts and ends at the Great Lakes Campus, 715 E.
