Why no discounts?

It looks like the Old Engine Show in Buckley was a good one this year. What, 50,000 visitors, right?

I see the fee was $10 to get in. Then they had 500 setups for the flea market that I expect a fee is paid. Food vendors and such that pay a fee as well, that is a pretty penny when added up.

They have a great show, and it gets better each year. I’m happy to see it.

I would like to know why no discount is given to vets, seniors or school children. Many of the activities in our area do this to bring these people in and give them a break. I have not seen any discounts listed for anyone at this show.

Keep up the good work, it’s a fun place to visit.

We’ve toyed too long

We already know enough about fracking and the harm it poses for us and future generations. We don’t need more studies to gather more data to foster more debate just to help us avoid taking definitive action. Studies already show us how bad fracking is for the environment and human health; it offers nothing good for either. It makes one wonder how it ever got approved. So before we turn more trillions of gallons of fresh water into polluted waste water, made forever unusable for human consumption, and before we get further misled by the contradictory argument that somehow ever more efficient mining of fossil fuels will serve as a bridge to alternative energy, and before we quite literally burn up our planet through further fueling climate change, we need to ban this disastrous practice, now.

We’ve toyed with indecision for too long. Think about it.
