KALKASKA — Zach Hill picked an opportune time to star.
The Kalkaska senior scored two goals and assisted on a third Wednesday night as the Bay Reps beat Cheboygan 5-3 in a Northern Michigan Hockey League played at the Kaliseum. It's the Reps only game at the Kalkaska facility this season.
"It was a nice homecoming for him," Reps coach Todd Spaulding said. "He had a good game."
Zack Bargy, Tim Barber and Nate Wilson added scores for the Reps.
It was 3-3 in the third period when Wilson scored off assists from Hill and Trevor Apsey. Bargy, who drew an assist on Hill's first goal, netted an insurance tally.
Jay Jones had 20 saves in goal.
The Reps, 6-10, are on their first two-game win streak of the season.
"This gives us something to build on," Spaulding said.
The Reps host Mid-Michigan on Friday.
